Petroleum Equipment Service of Wilson was founded in 1968 by Deryl O’Briant and Donald Wiggs as a petroleum equipment installation company. Over the years, the company grew into a full-service sales, service, and installation provider, representing major product lines and building a strong reputation across eastern North Carolina.
In December 1999, the company was purchased by Butch O’Briant (Deryl O’Briant’s son), Bennie Bailey, and Brian Vick. Petroleum Equipment Service became a Wayne Fueling Systems distributor and continues to represent several other leading petroleum equipment manufacturers. The company sells and ships products throughout the eastern United States while maintaining a dedicated focus on installation and service in eastern North Carolina.
In July 2026, Petroleum Equipment Service of Wilson joined the OILMENS family as part of OILMENS Petroleum Systems.
